　「風邪の流行りはじめに現われる大人の患者は銀行員のことが多いですね」
というのはあるベテラン内科医。
　風邪が流行る冬の時期が到来すると、患者として早々に来院する人に銀行員が多いという。
　医者は実は危険な仕事である。病気そのものをかかえた相手と日々かかわっているのだから、常に感染の危険にさらされている。だが、そこはさすが専門家だ けに対策を十分整えている。

　では、なぜ真っ先に銀行員が風邪を引くのか？
　貸し渋りや貸しはがしをする行員の身も案外、ストレスにまみれて免疫力が落ちているからなのか。
　「お金を扱っているからです。特にお札は不特定多数の人間が触っていて、当然、細菌も付着しています。お札が古ければ古いほど汚染度も濃厚になります」
　内科医の説明である。
